Ah-Meng's death

When Ah Meng the orang utan died on 8.1.08, aged 48, it marked the end of an era at the Singapore Zoo.
Ah Meng was a household name and remained the zoo's star attraction, even as age slowed her down. In human terms, she was nearly 95, and is believed to have died of old age. SHE was a great-looking Singapore girl who rubbed shoulders with royalty, movie stars and statesmen. People paid to sip tea with her, and countless others liked nothing better than to be photographed next to her. Stardom came in 1982 with the zoo's 'Breakfast with An Orang Utan' programme, which featured Ah Meng at centre stage. Within four years, she featured in almost 30 travel films and more than 270 write-ups worldwide. Such was her pulling power that the then Singapore Tourism Promotion Board made her a Special Tourism Ambassador in 1992, the first non-human recipient of the award. The zoo's former head of public relations, Mr Robin Goh, said part of Ah Meng's charm was how she took to people. 'She came from a domesticated background as a pet and behaved differently from wild orang utans. She could drink tea from a teacup and looked good for an ape,' he said.
Born in Sumatra, Indonesia, she arrived at the zoo in 1971 after being removed from a family who kept her as an illegal pet.
Ah Meng is survived by four children and six grandchildren.

A memorial held on Sunday at the zoo for the public to view Ah Meng's body. Shockingly, about 4000 people came to pay respect to her.

So sad to hear her gone...

Chinese New Year this year falls on 7th and 8th of February ...

Chinese New Year, or Chun Jie, which literally means Spring Festival, celebrates the coming of spring and a fresh start to one’s life.
The Spring Festival is also called Nian, after the legend of the Nian monster. At the begining of the first month of the lunar calendar, the monster would come down from the mountains to hunt villagers. To conquer this monster, they would beat drums and gongs, burn bamboo and light fireworks to scare it away.
There are also many other interesting practices steeped in tradition that can be found during this festive period. In the days leading up to Chinese New Year, you will find many local residents cleaning their homes. The belief is that if the home is dirty when the New Year arrives, the bad luck from last year is carried forward to the next.
Another important aspect is the celebration of family ties. One important event is the reunion dinner, where family members spanning generations get together for a feast on the eve of Chinese New Year.
During the 15-day celebration, everyone visits the homes of friends and relatives. Dressed in new clothes, visitors come bearing well wishes and gifts. Children look forward to receiving hongbaos – which literally means ‘red packets’ and these are given to children and adults who are not married. These red packets are filled with new dollar bills and represent good fortune for the coming year.
As a sign of respect to one’s elders and friends, two oranges must be brought along when visiting. It’s also customary to present oranges with both hands, and for the recipient to present two oranges when the visitor leaves.
The lion dance which is performed during Chinese New Year is a tradition that brings good luck to the households or businesses they visit. The dramatic climax of the dance is the Cai Qing or ‘Picking the Green’, where the lion ‘eats’ and then ‘spits’ the leaves out, signifying an abundance of everything in the coming year.

company has shut down early for CNY celebrations.... Had to accompany dear rush to buy for his CNY stuffs again...
Went Changi villiage in the morning for breakfast, went Bugis, Suntec and Marina Square for shopping... Intended to get a Havaiana's sandals for dear, but changed his mind upon seeing...
Irriatating indeed ... But its ok, just like me, choosy and wants the best... We only gotten his new Renoma briefs, with one of the pair red in colour ( well for good luck purposes ) and a new set of clothes ( which he really look good in it ) ...

We went to Queensway after that to get his new shoes.... Quite difficult finding one as his size is too big. Anyway, we went from shop to shop just finding one for him ... Tiring thou' ... As a reward for my patience and company, dear bought me a pair of black sandals ...
Cute indeed.. I love it and i love him...

And that's crazy us .... Dear Steph and me, Cha baby... :)

Dad just gave me money to get what I want as her seriously got no time to buy. Well dats fine as long as he remembers... Thanks to Charmaine, my buddy at work for her cute present. and the best gift of all was from Farnie... A LOVE frame for me to put my best pixes ... She nevers buy for anyone presents, but surprisingly, i gotten one this year. Thanks to all for the best things I have had all these years... my only wish is that i have someone who will look after me, other than my own family and that he will always make me happy.

The best Korean show i have watched so far.... This is what the story about:

The life of Go Eun Chan (Yoon Eun Hye) is not easy; she works many jobs to pay off debts and even gave up her feminine image. Choi Han Kyul (Gong Yoo) is the heir of a big food company, but his grandmother wants him to settle down, so she arranged many dates for him. After Eun Chan bumped into Han Kyul and was mistaken for a boy, Han Kyul decided to hire Eun Chan to be his gay lover in order to avoid the arranged dates. Desperately in need of money, Eun Chan had no choice but to accept. Han Kyul's grandmother also made Han Kyul in charge of a filthy coffee shop in danger of being bankrupt. Eun Chan begged to work at the coffee shop, and not long after, feelings start to spark, except, that Han Kyul do not know about she is a girl ... my deepest and sincere condolences to my colleague, Leonard Siow, on his dad's demise.

He was on leave the past two days sending his dad to the hospital and all.

When asked how was everything earlier and his dad condition, he just smiled and say everything will be alright.

Was shocked when gotten the news.

Poor him indeed. Hope he is strong and will be feeling better.

Too bad i couldn't come over to pay my respect, but my best wishes for him.

Hoping that he could cope with that.

start of the 1st week of new year boring still...
Nothing interesting had happened to me...
except quarrels with dear... and then ok ...
dats mainly because of him.
dear filled with much activites with his friends, and not me...
always got plan with his army friends and close friends.
so here i am doing nothing, except work... work and more work..
irritating at times...
but when he comes by saying sorry and coax me, everything is ok. (hehehe)

Oh yeah, dear's dad admitted hospital due to his heart problem.
difficulty in breathing due to blockage at veins.
so gtta remove them asap ... have operation.
was admitted yesterday @ SGH.
but his dad stubborn..
know that got heart problem, also wanna smoke a lot.
Hope his fine and im going over for visits today with dear.

Lots of presents to give and get...

we had a new hairstyle; rebonded my hair completely and dear said that it looks really good. Dear cut and styled his har and i really loved it lots... Smart casual Black was the theme of the day... :)
Breakfast at Klliney's at Bukit Timah... Drove off to KK Hospital to the Children's Cancer Foundation (CCF) to make donations...(Really hope that one way, our donation could make them feel better and happier for xmas. Seeing their conditions and all, makes me wanna cry. Imagine to be born into the world knowing u have cancer.) Went Christmas shopping spree with dear ... Unexpected, it was indeed very crowded even as early as 11am. Parked at Takashimaya. went all around to find a xmas gift for me and him... hehe.. went through all the boutiques, from LV to Chanel, to Prada, to Gucci and even Hermes... lastly came back and settled on an LV bag that cost him a bomb(i can say its a 4-digit figure which i won't even have the heart to forgo for just one item ... ) . im super super happy... the most wanted gift on my xmas list. yeah... im dead happy for sure. I love him so much indeed. Thou dint expect that, I was surprised when dear told me that he buying me any bag that i want on Friday. Anything, absolutely anything. Just finding one bag, it actually took us like 2hours.. Hungry, we bought 2 sausages wrapped in prata. Dat was so yummy indeed. 1st time i have ever tried such food.
Went to GAP and Levi's to buy a new pair of jeans for dear ...settled on a Levi's 506 jeans. Looks good on him indeed with his long sleeve shirt.. I like.. :) .. Even end up buying two new long sleeve shirt... This is even better, they do look super good on him, which his lean body makes him unresistable. haha.
Went to Goodwood Park Hotel for tea time as the food was nice, esp the durian puffs. But changed minds due to full pax there. Ended up travelling all the way to UE Square and Robertson Walk to look for food... Place was either too packed or not open yet. Dear was already hungry.. very hungry... well like people say; a Hungry man is an ANGRY man.. in the end fed up, we settled at DeliFrance. Food tasted so good as we were already hungry.
Went to Chinatown to go to OG and thought of getting something from the Liverpool Fan club cum shop nearby there. Spent some time there til evening before we went back to town. Even bought a Body shop gift set for my dept exchange gift.
Dear bought me to Orchard, for a drive thru to see the lightings... From Tangs all the way to Suntec City. So great. Seeing the lights, Blue and Yellow. then seeing different xmas tree along the way. Each shopping centre decorated in different ornaments and pictures.went straight home after that ... but had so so much fun.

theme was white casual. dear wanted to wear the new clothes that he bought. gave him a xmas gift; a new Sony DVD player. hehe... it was super big and i really had a hard time wrapping and carrying it down. gave some xmas goodies to close colleagues and brought the xmas exchange gift. so surprised to see that there are lots of xmas on my desk... hehe. really really paiseh leh. so many people gave me something, but i have nothing to give some of them.had free lunch and company gave 1/4 pm off ... so from 12pm onwards, we actually had free time. we work only for 1/2 a day. the rest of the day, we actually had exchanged gifts, games, lunching and christmas party. so fun and lively was the whole event with presence of our very own Santa Claus.. came with a small paper bag full of gifts, in the end went back home with a big load of paper bag. headed down to VivoCity to have lunch at Swensen's and more shopping. Dear ended buying his two buddies chocolates from Godiva... so much fun there seeing lots and lots of people doing last min gift searching and even cinemas and restaurants were over crowded. headed home early as dear got xmas dinner at Amara with frens. Too bad im not invited .. Sobb.. Sobb.. :( ...

yeah xmas is here... dear brought me and my two devils (aka my younger sisters.. hahaha) to shopping, watch movies and dinner. went to suntec to watch I Am Legend by Will Smith... Show was very good. Worth watching. So dramatic and touching. About a man who survived and living on a dead town in US with his dog, Samantha. Everyone was infected with a Virus that was created by man to cure cancer.. Instead of getting better, it got worst and turned 80% of them into animals (literally to mean no brians and feed on others for survival). Other 20% either got fed on or died. This show features his will and determination in order to find cure for these people and made a better life for the survivors and those infected, even thou it means sacrificing his life and family.. Went to Bugis Street to do shopping and saw something interesting.. A nice shoe.. Hmm my next shopping target soon. It as black in colour, has buckles at the leg cuff and was pointed slightly.. Perfect for me and price is so reasonable. Drive pass along the roads to see xmas tree, and spotted a tree on top of vivocity. Was super lovely and such a centre of attraction. Headed home before 8 as too tired and need to work the next day. All the cam whoring and walking makes me tired. Need to rest in order to be on time to catch the last few episodes of Witch Yuxi at Channel U... :) ..

dint celebrate the festive occasion as i feel that those are more for people who went for haj..
I spent my day doing my hair rebonding again for 5hours..

Hady is indeed good looking and cute on TV.
his looks and the boy-next-door image has a very commercial value in the industry.
people vote and liked him coz of that mostly...
not purely because he sing very well.

Compared to him seriously Taufik Batisah is much better.

thou' i like him a lot and supported his Idol journey,
but i still feel that there is some other idol much worthy of winning the title other than him...

either Mau Marcelo, Mike Mohede and Phoung Vy should deserve the title.

their tremendous voice was simply captivating and
super good...

im sorry Hady, but i gotta admit...

You do not deserve the title.

Even thou' i know u wanna be a motivational and aspiring one,

yeah... zoo trip was so fun with everyone around..meet up at 9am, and spend like a few hours til 3pm there.. there was asparina, yan, nellysa, kak nis, my sisters,wafaa, qaysh, imad and me... hehehe. I had been planning these for a few weeks to arrange for a gathering at the zoo. great time we had there. seeing for many animals and having a great time... off from work, family, husbands, parents and boyfrens... just we cousions. all these was for free.. thank goodness my company had two zoo card, which could admits 4 persons each day per card.. cool rite?? I really enjoyed my time there. the best part was being with cousins n sisters,bonding together. hehehe. should do more of these next time. hehehe well to a few of them like nellysa, wafaa, farnie who could not sleep the day before as too excited, hope u all enjoyed your day there. well to other cousins, sorry dint invite u guys along as i could only admit 8 people for FREE..hehehe. maybe next time i bring more... Planning for another outing soon... Hope those who went to the zoo with me had to much great time and really enjoyed themselves, like i did .... after the outing, i managed to hang out with dear till 7plus...he came esp to the zoo just to pick me up and see me.... the best part was just hanging out with him. thanks god he is out from hospital. thou a while, im happy that it could repay for the 2 weeks i have not been going out together.

of course, chubby qaysh was the best as he is the chubbiest and naughtiest of all.... really loved him... well dats my grandcousie (i dunno what im supposed to call that anyway)....hahaha

well the good news is that dear will be discharged tomorrow afternoon...
thank god he will be out soonest.
really really missed his presence.
anywy, 2 days i have not visited him aft work as heavy showers, and unable o get any taxi there...(but he will be on 1week MC and have to go check up everyday for blood tests)

apart from that, im happy that i get to go zoo again...
these time with my siblings and cousins....
hehehe.... that's super super great as we have time just for us...
no husbands, or boyfrens, or even parents.
and i gotta to take leave n relaks my mind.

hahaha.
well cn't wait for tmr....

a week passed by

it has been a week passed since dear was admitted... he is still stuck in there till today. So sian indeed seeing him in there and cannot move around freely. Stuck to the bed, with the thing sticking at his hand. Just made my heart aches. Doctor still wanna keep him there for another week, which i find ridiculous indeed. He is so super fine, among all other patients there. The drip medication will stop soon and he has started taking Waferin (another kind of medication for the blood clots)... So many check-ups and blood test he have to take. Poor him.
Dear was known to be very on the feet kinda person... always on the go and that to "sit and lay eggs" is not his cup of tea... The days in the hospital were the most boring for him. With nothing to do, unable to watch TV and worst still no visitors in the day. Seeing people come to see him and make him laugh is the happiest day for him now. Just seeing people walking around, talking to nurses, sleeping and eating was his routine. These few days, i had been going up and down there almost every morning and evening to see him. No time for other stuffs like gathering, or even to find time to have breakfast or dinner. But in anyway that i can make him feel better, that would be happy enough for me.
Special thanks to friends and family whom had visited him, and even bought gifts and health products for him... Every kind gesture is appreciated and remembered by us. Hope to see him soon in office. Miss those days indeed together going out and have a great time.

sad stuffs happening...

1stly, got a shocking news that Sat*** and Fa*** is no more together... Y i also dunno. but i have yet to find out. Not that being kepo. But just concerned as i can never find someone better than him for her.. Well that's their love life and I can't force LOVE. Hopefully she din't regret what she did and that not that she dump him for another guy, which i thought it might be due to...

2nd, im down with bad sore throat and flu... Tempearture in office has been very cold and that i dunno what could cause my cough since i seldom drink cold drinks and do not smoke.. hmm. maybe due to spread from my mum.

3rdly, dear has been admitted to hospital recently. I spend like the whole day accompanying him yesterday at Alexandra Hospital doing MIR scans and check-up. This is due to his headache and poor vision on his left eye. Thank goodness that there is no brain tumour as which he was scared if it really happen. But the sad thing is that Doctor found like a liquid form in his brain, probably a blood clot, that is putting pressurre to his nerves in the brain... I can't remember the name exactly as it sounded so wierd. But this gotta be subside soonest in order to prevent more damage to his brain and improve his vision. He gotta be under intensive observation and was asked to proceed and admitted to NUH where there are neurologist available to cure him. Poor him. Will be so boring alone there and cannot get to enjoy outside air as he is put on Drip. Certain food cannot be taken and as usual hospital food sucks... Im trying to make him comfortable and less lonely... Every morning and evening, i will make a trip down to NUH just to pay him a visit. I really miss him not seeing for a day. Cannot call him as he left his HP with me here instead. So now i got new job, as Stephen secretary , telephone operator and delivery girl. But im happy doing as long as i could lighten his load. Seriously seeing his conditon and far apart from me, I cannot sleep well, had been having sleepless nights and nightmares. Appetite has been really bad.

Waking up in the morning, i always look forward to rush to hospital to see him before i go work.

Lets all pray that he will be well and that everything will be back as normal for my life.

had so much fun with him celebrating his bday....

went to the Bird Park , then a lunch at River walk and dinner @ Bukit Timah MacDonald's...

Deepavali also known as Diwali, literally means "row or garland of lights". Locally, it has been called "The Festival of Lights". It is symbolic of victory of good over evil, celebrated by most Hindus the world over. It highlights the victory of Lord Krishna, one of the deities of the Hindu pantheon, over the Demon King, Narakasura. It usually falls around late October or early November on the new moon day.

Legend
Legend has it that Narakasura, the king of demons, had tortured the common folk. After many years of hardship, the people, unable to bear the suffering, appealed to Lord Krishna who then declared war against the demon king. As he lay dying, the demon king begged for mercy from Lord Krishna and he asked that the people rejoice and be merry at the anniversary of his death as a reminder that ultimately evil will never triumph. Little clay lamps were then lighted as a sign of gratitude to Lord Krishna.Some Hindus believe that Deepavali is celebrated to mark the return of Rama, his wife Sita and brother Lakshmana after being banished from Ayodhya by his stepmother for a period of 14 years. An important reminder is that Deepavali is not the Indian or Hindu new year. The Tamil New Year falls on either 13 or 14 April every year.

Preparations
Preparations start weeks before with the spring cleaning of the home. New clothes are bought and women take great pains to make cakes, sweetmeats and other tidbits, the favourite being murukku. Hindus also believe that departed souls return during this time. So, favourite foods of the departed along with new clothes are placed on banana leaves before the photographs of the departed and prayers done.

Deepavali
Early in the morning, the Hindus will have the traditional oil bath. The body is rubbed and massaged from head to toe with gingelly oil that is extracted from fermented sesame seeds. When all the members have had their bath and don their new clothes, special prayers are held at the family altar. Decorative designs or rice flour paintings with intricate designs usually done by womenfolk on the floor at the entrances of homes. Hindus also make it a point to visit temples early in the morning to receive the blessings of Lord Krishna and the Goddess of Wealth. Then it is time for either visiting friends or receiving them. At night, children play with sparklers and are allowed to light clay lamps and display them along the window ledges or doorways.

too many misfortunes happening this few days..

1stly, lin admitted to hospital due to accident.. happened @ wed midnight along Orchard rd... we rushed to hospital aft the raya visit at aishah hm ard 7 plus upon hearing this.. to find her in quite serious condition. scarred face, bruises, fractured arm and under special care rm.. poor her.... hope ntg serious more than that ... esp on her internal organs.. knowing that she was hit by a car and was found underneath it.!
2ndly, dear fell ill.... i mean really really ill.. i dunno wats happening... suddenly dear head hurts to the max, no appetite to eat, sleep .... this has been happening since wed and got worst thurs night till now. took urgent leave on friday to accompany him go SGH. Waited for like 5 hours till we could go back... im so scared of wat could be happening ... and even worst losing him. Knowing his sickness made me sleepless night. since Thurs night i've been having bad dreams and even cant sleep.... Now i know why.... Wat i could do nowi is pray for his well-being and that Allah will protect him from any dangers.
3rdly, got bad scolding from dad... coz brought steph home alone. did so just to take care of him.. he's really really sick till cant even get up to sit. he kept on lying down and not wanting to eat,drink or have his medicine. there's no one to take care of steph @ hm ... and i wont leave him in such condition alone. dad just unresonable and too kolot(old-fashioned).. tink i so stupid... do something embarrassing @ my hm n get caught.! pls la.... im a grown up n cn tink wats right n wrng... anyway, i dun care about wat he said or so ever.. aslong as i know i did nothing wrong and mum supported me.. Coz there are other impt things i wanna tink of esp about dear dear, rather than about dad's non-stop nagging and hot-temperedness.

just hoping all will be over soon and back to normal... cant lose anyone in my life.... hope all get well soon... esp dear ...

frens gathering(without Lin)

Raya will never be fun without gathering with frens esp... well this time, we had no time for raya outing together as very difficult to cater to all schedule. We had to organise this meet up before we gonna miss mardiana for another 3months or so before she gonna have another leave in Singapore.She's leaving Singapore on 19th early morning back to Dubai.

I invited all to my home for a small gathering so that we could meet up and update each other, and esp lepaskan rindu...(hehehe). Cooked mee rebus and fried chicken wings (thnx to Alie for helping out..)

Anyway, Lin could not be around due to her busy working schedule. Happy to hear that she now work @ in Changi Airport. As for yana, im so so happy that im gonna be a godma soon, knowing she's 2mnths pregnant. As for Mar, hope that these 10 days here was enough to meet up with Acap... poor them. well as u know, distance make the heart grow fonder..

love them all.... hope to see more of them, esp Lin.

ok..i know i have been really busy these few days... with raya and work. well dats what people say; too many things to do, yet too little time.

Let me 1st wish everyone a SELAMAT HARI RAYA, MAAF ZAHIR BATIN.. :) ...
Hope everyone out there had a great time with family and friends in celebrating their raya.
I only managed to go out Raya on the 1st day and well dats like really tiring. Can u imagine... we like going from west to bukit batok and then down to tampines... dats like super super far. hehehe.

well the best part is getting to go out together as a family and gather with other relatives and all... ;D.
As for 2nd day, we spent time at home, waiting for guest to come. Well we cook like Butter rice with Dalca(dat is like curry wit vege and mutton), black pepper chicken and mutton, Acha nenas, fried chicken(dats like the fast selling stuffs for kids) and sambal ikan bilis, and even fried Bee hoon.... Well can u imagine, everyone came non-stop from 1pm-1am... hahaha. dats so super tired for us. but indeed fun seeing all around, gathering and enjoying the dishes we cooked.

busy with my raya cookies

im like kinda very very busy these few days till Raya...

May or may not have time to update blog..
so now gotta force myself to update my status of my preparations
before i really get all busy with these stuffs
im like left with 3 days more...

Home is in super mess....
Dad haven't completed with his ceiling work and lighting fixtures
Mum still not bought the carpet and collect the curtains...
Alie and Farnie haven't finish cleaning and paint their room...
Lucky for ours and mum's rm, everything was tip-top a lot earlier...
Jieja fractured her right leg and that add to another problem...
Took half day yesterday just to sent her there...

Now the cookies problem.... Up to date, only 4 was done...
Its like only I have to be the one doing it...
The rest either help or just "taste" my hardwork...

Anyway , all the delicious cakes and cookies are thanks to my new oven, which actually cost me more than $100 and my cookbooks (Well both antique passed from mummy and new ones) I have to buy this oven coz my prev Rowenta oven which previously cost me even more @ $600 was made spoilt by my mum... Good work mum. :(

My kitchen is in a mess with all my ingredients and mixtures, trays, containers and weighing machine...

i lurve weekends,esp becoz i only work 5 days so Sat, Sun is like slackz day...(well in real fact who doesn't....).

Sat was indeed special as i got to go out with Stephie aft about three weekends that we dint go out. Well bcoz we couldnt find time or that we have some other reasons along the way... In the first place, planned to go out with Steph alone, but the two monkeys-aka Farnie and jieja wanna tag along.... So gotta bring them out. Anyway our plan was go Suntec for shopping and Geylang to collect Raya clothes and buy some goodies for break fast.... Well mum and kak li dint work on that day, so they also went there. Since they are going, we switch our plan and went geylang 1st. so excited to go out, we were already ready and waiting for Steph since 10.30am to pick us up. As usual... during free time , what else we did other than our candid snapshots....

Oh guess what is the fun part about the whole geylang thingie...??? It was the presence of Honey-my dearest darling nephew. She is so cute and all grown up. Very long then i gotta see her.miss her like mad. the fun part is that she still remembers all of us... Nenek, Auntie, Mummy, Jieja, Bik Nana and Uncle - she still remembers.... Hehehe... So cute right?This is her updated pix on that day, wearing pink.

Bought loads of food there like Deng Deng, Ramly burger, chicken and peanut cake....

Bought two baju for Raya liao.... Purple and Black/White.... (See my two models dressed up with their new shoes... )

We're late and rush off to Suntec City to get FArnie and Jieja shoes.... Oh yeah... we bought a new clothes for charlie and Fossil watch for dear dear....

Now that im left with two weeks before Raya... Kinda rushing to finish off last minute preparations....

Bake cookies - honey cornflakes, Snowball,chocolate cornflakes, chocolate chip cookies, M&M cookies, and cakes-spring roll,marble cake,Chocolate marie cake
Buy curtains,cushion cover and carpets - either grey / black in colour
Spring cleaning... Dats goes to say, throw off any unwanted stuffs in my room(AGAIN...)
Prepare HongBao money.. Gotta go change for $2 and $5 notes before bank run out of it liao...

Hope that everything can finish by then and we all shall have a good raya... :) signing off and bye

I reealli feel so great this Friday.... Why??? Simple... it gonna be weekend soon.I like having loads and loads of plans now that salary and bonus is in.... well gonna go collect hari raya clothes, buy a dressing table and a new rug for my room, set aside Hongbao money for raya, buy shoes and most importantly, buy new clothes for Charlie... well mind is full of thots this friday.... thinking of the fun i will have this weekend... Fasting seems very very fast indeed as like im left with another 14 more days before countdown is over.. hahaha... dats like so soon and I have yet to accomplish my task of making cookies and cake... oh gosh... know wats the bad thing... Oven spoil liao.. Thanks to mum who actually did that... Now waiting for dad to get a replacement or else no kuih... Damned.... anyway, i already planned like bake 3-4 type of cookies... oh yeah, gotta make for Charmaine a chocolate cornflakes and Oreo cupcakes... she wanna volunteer for the tasting session on my cakes etc... well hungry ghost is her nick name anyway.. (*wink..) hahaha...
Friday rush home early as dear need to go meet his frens again for a get-together session... hehehe... oh u know what happen... I was at the 7-eleven @ my hm downstairs when i realised i forget my HP... Gosh... I quickly called dear to help, but he was alrdy @ AYE towards town area... wat to do.... Rush all the way to work in a cab lor.... Idiots***** ... waste money and time lor.... I was like panting like mad ... run all the way find cab and rush to get my phone.... Lucky no one took it, or else poor darling me....
Anyway, break fast was nice as usual ... It was nasi lemak this time.... Cooked by kak La... Yummy... :)

so sad... but i failed my driving...y....? simple.... i mount the kerb.....that's as bad as immediate failure... no nid to continue further...shit man.... im LIKE SO STUPID FOOL....im so angry with myself for not doing well ... for being so gabrah(in English: nervous) .... so so sad ... guess what... i cried like mad... and dear dear gotta coax me and be the one wiping my tears ... being my shoulder to cry on....

Oh man.... this is like gotta take me a few hundred bucks again to get thru' all this.... Waste my money and time.... but well, that does not matter....

Like what dear dear said.... I still have a driver who will always wait patiently for me @ the carpark... and bring me around where i wanna go.... hehehe ... sweet isn't it...?

Anyway, will try harder next time and will not be too kan ciong and over confident....

Raya plans

guess what i have been up to the last week end. ...

Painting my house .. this includes living room, my parent's rm and even my own rm...

hehe.... so fun leh doing this....

well once in a while like 2 years once.... this is also for raya.... (u tink i wanna do for any other reasons is it??)

i like spend two days doing this thing ....

1st day i took painting the living room, Sun then i get to paint my room and mum's....

(One of these days, i will share with all what has been done-the changes,colours etc .... )

That's a lot of job.... Lucky Jieja was around to help(Special thanks to fara also... hehe.)

anyway.... now that i have completed one of my task for raya ....

i still have more to come ...

1. Buy raya clothings for all (Theme of the year: Blue & Black)

2. Make raya goodies - cornflakes, marble cake and chocolate chip cookies is a definite must

3. Order goodies/cake,tidbits and my tarts

3. Curtains and cushion covers (maybe grey perhaps)

4. most importantly is prepare green packets ..

These kids will always hunt me down for one .. Esp my two younger sisters ....

Ok la... Cant say much yet.... Fasting only the 6th day still wanna say so much..

Hehehe.... Seems very fast and soon it will Raya...

wah TGIF ..... yeah .... great weekend to look forward. .... well just because i can relaks and dont need to go driving ....
Anyway as usual... wake up @ 5am to eat and the best thing is that eating with everbody.... Its only the 2nd day of fasting ....So lazy leh. Lucky after eating im meeting Stephie @ 7.30am instead.
Anyway, break fast with Stephie today, but this time there was also his friend, KS - Kian Siong... hehehe. So the 3 of us head to Clementi pizza Hut ... But the funny thing is that we got everything except our Pizza. Can you believe that...? We were already so hungry, wating to try the Cheesy Fondue Pizza... (oh well, its actually me only since im fasting..) Anyway, guess what happen??? They only come to tell me they dint make my pizza as it dint come out in the print out... Oh boy... Well as a form of apology, they gave us a garlic bread and 20% discount.... hehehehe.... So good right...
Anyway, I head home straight while Steph went Karaoke with KS @ Jurong East.... Sleepy and tired as usual...
And he forget to renew my PDL.... Gotta do it soon myself...

Monday Blues

Today seems like a less better day for me ....Feeling a little cold from the weather ...Oh gosh .... im like cn't wake up. Nose blocked and the mucus keep coming out .... hehehe ....Bad day for anything .... but nevertheless, monday will always be a hectic day for me .... Everything will not always go as smoothly, and with ur body for relaxed and still thinking of the weekend fun.... Dats why people call it Monday BLUES...

Oh yeah ... gotta remember to bring home the picture to print out and laminate for dad.

He always very good and volunteering his 'services' to his friends.... Be it small or big ....

Its still raining non-stop and my tissue supply is running very low ...

Gotta grab more from dear car .... This is what happens when the weather gets too cold for me ...

Work is as usual so busy with Ben and Joseph around ... Anyway, seems like the tissue has covered 90% of my dustbin...

Im still very very busy and people keep on coming to talk to me... well gotta entertain them sometimes....

Anyway .... Today i got my last driving lessons, my Stage 5.1 ... yeah .... After that, constant revisions time and again...

To make my driving better and perfect.

Driving is so great when u get the hang of it.... No stress and just go with the flow.... Hahahahaha....

Gotta work harder as test coming this 24th ... Hopefully i can make it first time round... (Thou i find it almost impossible....)

but to be optimistic is better ... the result is far more better...

anyway... nose still hurting with all the blowing and rubbing ... now i look like rudolph reindeer ...

hahaha.... Ok .... gotta work for now. Will continue some other day...

Sitting down here quietly and staring into the computer, i was thinking of what will happen next ...

Does life starts as a small "growth" in your mummy's belly and ends in a quiet dark hole where you're alone, scared?

So many people we meet in life yet so little of them that we know well..

Not all will like you, and not all will also remember you for more than a day.

Only a handful will remember your good deeds, but everyone will your bad ones...

People love seeing others suffer and others might just lend a helping hand ...

They will just become part of your "experience" or even your "lifetime journey" ...

Is this you called life? Is this how life should be.....?

Life could be a bed of roses ....

Might be wonderful most of the times, but if with thorns, they just make yor life miserable and hurting.

Everybody and everyone will have their own stories to tell ...

Be it happy or sad, lovely or dull ....

They will sure got something to share ....

I was just sitting down by the sea side hearing the waves hit the rocks and suddenly ponder ....

What will my life be down the road...?

Will it be better ...? Or will it worsened as it gets ....?

I seriously dunno .....

Sometimes you just cannot imagine your own character ....

Throw tantrum at times and even ok the next moment ...

When ur character is bad, people might just leave u lurking alone ....

But if ur character is good, people will love you... But some might just even take advantage.

U might get scolded for something you did not do ...

But then others get praised for the effort and hard work you have put in ...

Just gotta say ... Ure always at the wrong place, and at the wrong time...

We being here in this world is just temporary..

When your pass has expired, its time to leave ...

Just that.. you might never know when is the time and where you might be going to ...

My auntie's father-in-law just passed away last week ...

It was a sudden shock to all ...

He was well and has no complaints of any sickness recently.

He just said he had a headache that night and needed some rest ...

The next morning, they realised that he died in his sleep ...

So poor thing ....

But that's good thing he died peacefully ....

This was the same thing that happened to my granny. ...

We just saw her the day before and she started recognising us....

But unexpectantly, that was the last time we heard from her ..

So sad and shocked...

Whatever happen, we just have to move on and remember them in our life .....

Coz they are part of us and will always be ....

Well like i said, one cannot predict their own life ....

Just have to do the best and pray that we will be in safe place at heaven when we "leave" this world...

9th August 2007

Was a day of full memories for me...

First time i get to be with others to celebrate my Nation birthday, but this time its at the Marina Bay....

Its so so great.. The view, atmosphere and all was just splendid.

Went there at around 1pm and started queing before we could get through @ 2.45pm.

The best thing was that everyone; young and old, babies and teenagers was all dressed in red and white to celebrate just like us.... Hehe....

Did you know that the feeling being there was simply wonderful.... People screaming to support and cheer for all and even being part of the Marina WAVE .... Yuhoo...

The Marina wave was as terrific as the Kallang wave.... (thou it was small.,it brings great memories indeed).

It keeps on going back and forth... Everyone wanna be part of it and join in the fun.

Oh yeah...

this bunch of bikers are super cool ... Their stunts just couldn't get your eyes off on their moves....

You should see the way they go up the ramp and jump off smoothly with the different stunts.

Super cool... They are very young leh, only 17 and their stunts are so mind-blowing and cool...

The Singapore songs have been brought to a better versions now... Imagine the songs sang in Hip-Hop versions and even up to Sopranos... Hehe. Dats really cool... But the best among all was still the National anthem ..... With great pride,we all sang this song ....

Ok..... this is my 1st blog online after a while apart from my frienster... (ehm.. after a lot of alterations here and there... Oh well, it gotta look good for sure...)

It seems a little wierd thou' having to write on ur stories and stuffs... But looking in another direction, it kinda release my stress most of the times ....

Ok... lets talk a little about myself ...

Im a little cute gal, who just love smiling and giggling... I like sharing joys with friends and families ...

But a little time, i might show tantrum (hehehehe.... that's normal for a girl.), but most of the times smile is what i do best.

I'm not pretty for sure, but i believe that a good heart is more important than being pretty.... Heart matters most.
